Beacon Lighting
6th June 2024 is the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings on the five beaches in Normandy, France which took place on 6th June 1944, we are using this occasion to pay tribute to the many, many thousands that sacrificed so much in helping to secure the freedom we all enjoy today.
As part of a national initiative in association with The Royal Naval Association, ABF The Soldiers Charity, RAF Benevolent Fund, The Merchant Navy Association & The Normandy Memorial Trust, Caythorpe & Frieston Parish Council will be lighting the Beacon on the playing field at 9.15 pm as a mark of respect
