Caythorpe and District Garden Society

Caythorpe and District Garden Society

We are an active and friendly group of around 60 members with a common interest in gardening.  Most meetings consist of a talk on a subject of interest to gardeners followed by refreshments, but at least 2 meetings per year are purely social events.  The society also organizes the Caythorpe Show and occasional garden visits.

Where: Carlton Scroop Village Hall, Newark Lane, Carlton Scroop (just off the A607).

When:  On the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 for 7:45 unless shown otherwise. Meetings finish at 9-9:30 pm approx. See Programme for details.

Fees:  Annual membership runs from Feb - Jan and costs £15 per person.  This covers:

  • Around nine meetings with a speaker, including light refreshments
  • Afternoon tea in a member’s garden
  • Evening summer social and buffet in a member’s garden
  • Christmas party

The summer outing is at extra cost.

The Caythorpe Show, held in Caythorpe Village Hall in August, is open to entries from anyone (except professionals in some sections). Schedules are available in local shops from early summer.

New members are always welcome, or try us out as a visitor to one of our monthly talks. Entry is £3 for visitors and includes refreshments.

Contact: Just come along to one of the meetings at Carlton Scroop or contact David Fiddler 01400 272 630 if you need more information.
